Hollywood North Star Newsletter Nov 10, 2023

Dear PAHW Families,
I want to start by thanking all of you for your flexibility related to today’s schedule change. Our attendance numbers were great, especially with the relatively last-minute change to our school calendar. We appreciate each of you who were able to make the adjustment to ensure your child did not miss any instructional time.
The purpose of this letter is to inform you that as a consequence of lower-than-expected enrollment numbers, my leadership team and I have had to make some adjustments to teacher classroom assignments, roles, and responsibilities in order to maximize school operational costs and minimize the impact on our school culture. Please know that every decision that we make is in the best interests of students and families and the overwhelming majority of students will not be impacted by these changes. In fact, it is my strong belief that the changes we’ve made will result in even more effective instruction and ultimately higher student achievement.
To ensure we do not have to make these kinds of tough decisions related to austerity, my leadership team and I are currently developing a student recruitment and family engagement strategy. I look forward to partnering with parents to build a stronger, more inclusive, and cohesive school community.
At Promise Hollywood, we will continue to do everything in our power to ensure that you children continue to enjoy an education experience that is second to none.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, honest feedback, or celebrations. My door is always open, and your input is needed for Promise Hollywood to realize our mission and vision:
Mission: To educate, develop, and nurture the mind, body, and spirit of children so that they emerge as lifelong learners and world-ready leaders.
Vision: To be THE model of excellence and innovation in education.
